LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Missouri S&T's women's cross country team concluded its 2010 season Saturday by finishing in 17th place in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional meet hosted by Bellarmine University.
Colleen Conrad (Mogadore, Ohio/St. Vincent-St. Mary's ) was the top S&T runner in the six-kilometer race as she finished in 59
th place in a time of 23:19.06. Samantha Schussele placed 96
th overall in 24:09.80 and freshman
Codee Pedersen (Taylor Ridge, Ill./Rockridge) came in 108
th overall with a time of 24:21.04.
The Lady Miners' top five was rounded out by
Lisa Lake (Sapulpa, Okla./Sapulpa) in 111
th place in 24:30.62 and
Rebecca McNally (Jefferson City, Mo./Blair Oaks) in 24:31.22, one place behind Lake in the race that featured 150 competitors.
Grand Valley State won the women's race with five of the top eight individual finishers. Four of GVSU's conference mates – Ferris State, Hillsdale, Wayne State (Mich.) and Ashland – took the next four spots before the first Great Lakes Valley Conference team, Bellarmine, appeared in the team standings in sixth place. The Lady Miners placed seventh among the GLVC teams in the meet.
