MIDLAND, Mich. -- Missouri S&T's women's cross country team completed its season Saturday by finishing 16th at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional hosted by Ferris State University.
Senior
Colleen Conrad (Mogadore, Ohio/St. Vincent-St. Mary's ) was the Lady Miners' top runner Saturday with a 34th place finish in the six-kilometer race, as she posted a time of 23:14.
Lisa Lake (Sapulpa, Okla./Sapulpa) finished 70th overall in 23:55, while
Mindy Lake (Sapulpa, Okla./Sapulpa) came in 82nd place in 24:07.
Alyson Smith (Scott Air Force Base, Ill./Mascoutah) and
Codee Pedersen (Taylor Ridge, Ill./Rockridge) rounded out S&T's top five with times of 24:30 and 24:39, respectively.
Diane Strong (Jackson, Mo./Jackson) recorded a mark of 25:14 and
Rachel Feist (Tulsa, Okla./Jenks) had a time of 25:27.
Grand Valley State won the team competition with a total of 29 points as all four teams that qualified automatically came from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Host Ferris State, Saginaw Valley State and Ashland earned the automatic slots, with Southern Indiana, the top Great Lakes Valley Conference finisher, coming in fifth overall.
The individual champion was Hillsdale's Amanda Putt with a time of 21:26.
