(Rolla, Mo.) - The Missouri S&T Miner volleyball team continues to hold strong to the eighth and final spot in the latest NCAA Midwest Regional rankings released on Wednesday afternoon.
The Miners went 2-0 last week and continue to hold off Bellarmine for the last slot. S&T is one of five GLVC teams ranked in this week's poll. Three of those are in the top eight. Indianapolis holds down the top spot for the third straight week while Lewis is fifth. Bellarmine is ninth followed by Wisconsin-Parkside at 10th. The GLIAC also had five teams in this week's rankings. Northwood (Mich.) is second and followed by Ferris State (3rd), Grand Valley State (4th), Ashland (6th) and Hillsdale (7th).
Selections for the 2012 NCAA-II Volleyball Tournament will be announced this Sunday evening, Nov. 18 at 9 p.m. (Central Time).
