(Rolla, Mo.) - The Missouri S&T volleyball team got some disappointing news on Sunday night as it found it wasn't one of the 64 teams selected to the NCAA Tournament. The Miners were sitting in the eighth and final spot in the final rankings, but were knocked out of the field because of Rockhurst's win over Lewis in the GLVC Championship game on Sunday. Rockhurst earned the league's automatic qualifier berth.
S&T finished its season with a 20-13 record, its second consecutive GLVC West Division title and its second straight trip to the tournament semifinals. The Miners season ended with a 3-2 loss to Lewis on Saturday. S&T led 2-0 in the match but couldn't close it out.
