CLEVELAND, Miss. – It would be safe to say that Missouri S&T's swimming team took nothing for granted Saturday night, even as it entered the evening with a sizeable lead on the road to a sixth consecutive New South Intercollegiate Swimming Championships title.
The Miners wrapped up that championship in solid fashion on the final night of the meet, having at least two of its competitors earn spots among the top eight in each of the five individual events and finished the night by taking fourth in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
Saturday's performance put S&T's final point total at 752 points, which was 97.5 points ahead of runner-up Delta State.
On Saturday,
Ethan Goldfarb (Arlington, Texas/The Oakridge School) picked up his second event win in as many nights, taking the title in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:02.52 in a win of more than two seconds over Ouachita Baptist's Matt Pope.
S&T's
Jacob Dole (Corbin, Ky./Country Day School) took third in the 100-yard freestyle in 45.25 seconds as did

The Miners also got a consolation finals win from
Luis Nesrala (Santo Domingo, D.R./Colegio Amador) in the 200-backstroke in 1:53.65 and from
