ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T's men's soccer team will hold an advanced identification camp for high school soccer players on Saturday, July 13 at the S&T Soccer Field.
The camp, which will be run by new Miner head coach
Gabe Hall, will run from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on that day. The purpose of the camp is to provide the committed soccer player the opportunity to train and be evaluated by the S&T coaching staff in a competitive training environment.
The focus of the field sessions will be on the development of technical and tactical awareness through speed of play and game situations. In addition, campers will get information sessions on the recruiting process, player development and the demands and expectations for a student-athlete at the collegiate level.
The cost of the camp, which is open to players from the ninth to the 12
th grades, is $85 if the registration form is turned in prior to July 10; registration can also be done on-line at minercamps.com. All campers will receive a camp T-shirt.
Also, all campers must provide their own indoor and outdoor shoes, shinguards, a water bottle and other weather-appropriate gear. Medical insurance is also required for all participants.
