ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Missouri S&T had a trio of scorers in the triple jump competition during the opening day of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships, as the Lady Miners are in ninth place after the first five completed events.
Mary Ann Bradshaw (Jackson, Mo./Jackson) had the top finish among the three triple jumpers by finishing third with a mark of 37-5, while
Sadye Wichmann (Kirksville, Mo./Kirksville) finished seventh at 35-11½ and
Samantha Wermager (Hokah, Minn./Caledonia) came in a tie for eighth with a leap of 34-7¾.
Bradshaw qualified for Saturday's finals in two events Friday, doing so in the 200-meters in a time of 25.24 seconds and in the 100-meter dash in 12.50 seconds; teammate
Katlyn Meier (Vienna, Mo./Maries R-1) also made the 100 finals in 12.57 seconds.
Indianapolis leads the meet after day one at Lewis University with a total of 43 points, with Saint Joseph's in second with 28. The meet is scheduled to conclude Saturday.
