ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T's Bryce Foster (Florissant, Mo./Hazelwood Central), who was a unanimous selection to the Great Lakes Valley Conference's all-league team for the 2013-14 season, has been named to a pair of all-region teams for his play in the past year.

Foster was selected to the second team on the National Association of Basketball Coaches' all-region squad, after previously being named to the Daktronics, Inc., All-Midwest region second team.

Foster finished the season with a final scoring average of 21.6 points per game to place second in the league's scoring race behind Cameron Vines of Saint Joseph's. He was among six players from the GLVC that made the squad of 10, which was headed by regional player of the year Aaron Nelson of Southern Indiana.

The scoring average also ranks 17th nationally, as Foster scored in double figures in 25 of S&T's 27 games on the season. He had 17 games with at least 20 points and eight in which he cleared the 25-point plateau, headed by a career-best 36 points at Truman State.

Foster also averaged 2.4 three-pointers per game, the fifth-most in the GLVC as he hit a team-high 66 shots from long range, while his seven rebounds per contest ranked 12th. He also finished the season shooting 47.9 percent from the field, 33.8 percent from three-point range, 82.9 percent at the free throw line while dishing out 59 assists, making 31 steals and leading the Miners with 15 blocked shots.

He completed his Miner career third on the all-time scoring list with 1,683 points and his 584 points scored during the 2013-14 season tied the fourth-most of any player in one season in S&T history. Foster also became just the second player in school history to record at least 600 made field goals in a career, finishing with 602, and recorded the first-ever double-double in school history on Dec. 8 in an S&T victory over Webster.

Besides being named to the All-GLVC team, Foster was also selected last month as the Capital One Academic All-America of the Year for NCAA Division II men's basketball as part of the Academic All-America team.
