Kyle Jones is in his second year as the assistant sports information director at Missouri S&T, beginning his duties on Nov. 7, 2022. He came to S&T after serving as an assistant in the athletic media and communications office at Lyon College in Batesville, Ark.
Jones is a 2019 graduate of Illinois College, where he was a member of the baseball program for two seasons and worked in the athletic communications office as a student worker during his four years at the school. Following graduation with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in sports management, Jones worked as a member of the Street Team for the Phoenix Suns during the 2019-20 season where he assisted the marketing department with game day activations and assisted with marketing events in the greater Phoenix area.
Jones also worked for the Salina Liberty indoor professional football team, where he assisted the general manager with day-to-day operations and game day matters. He was also in charge of the upkeep of the sponsorship sales for the organization and also served as the team’s official scorer and statistician.
At Lyon, Jones helped to maintain the statistical and record information for the athletic program, as well as dealing with the report requirements for the NAIA and supervision of the student workers for the office.
